Indians may like Adelaide pitch

India's beleaguered batsmen might find some respite at the Adelaide Oval, with the curator saying the pitch would favour batting for a large part of the Test.
“There'll be a little in it on day one, but the Adelaide Oval, traditionally, is a good batting pitch with a bit of spin on days three, four and five,” said Damian Hough, the curator. “That's what I'm looking to produce, a traditional Adelaide Oval pitch.”
Asked about the even covering of grass, Hough said, “We're trying to get a pitch with as much bounce and carry as we can possibly get, with our soil here. The heat will definitely dry the pitch out and it's reasonably dry already.”
He said he was under no pressure from any quarter to prepare a pitch to ensure Australia complete a clean sweep.
